Washington Pacific Eye Associates was founded in 2004 by Dr. Jennifer Lee. She worked tirelessly to grow her practice while simultaneously working and teaching at the University of Washington. She would frequently bring her dog Starla to clinic as many of her early patients will recall. She quickly developed a strong reputation and a positive relationship with patients on the Eastside, growing the practice steadily while striving to maintain the personal touch and character of a local, single-location medical office in downtown Kirkland.
The practice continues today in the effort of providing world-class medical eye and vision care to the many patients who have come to trust us. We remain an integral part of the fabric of local businesses in downtown Kirkland and are working hard to meet the increasing demand for quality vision care. Our patients come from the South Sound up through Bellevue and Kirkland, north of Snohomish and even Whidbey Island.
In 2021, Dr. Lee made the difficult decision to retire from medical practice to pursue her other interests. In order to ensure continued quality care for the patients of Washington Pacific Eye Associates, she brought on Dr. Sean Batson in 2018 in anticipation of this transition. Dr. Batson grew up in Snohomish and Bothell, leaving the Pacific Northwest for 12 years to complete his education and training in Ophthalmology before returning with his wife, dog, and children. His dog Josephine is unfortunately much too large to bring to the office, but Dr. Batson plans to continue the tradition of compassionate, skillful, and individualized care that Dr. Lee ingrained at our office with her many years of service.
